Who is Ocean 7 Sailing?
Ocean 7 Sailing is a marine design
company founded by waterman Tom Hammerton. Tom grew
up in Dartmouth, Devon, a famed sailing and fishing
town on England’s south west coast. He spent
his childhood on boats and in the ocean in his native
England. Tom began windsurfing, and moved to Maui
to take his sport to the next level in the early-1990s.
Currently, Tom works as a sail and product designer
for a local windsurfing company in addition to heading
up Ocean 7. He continues to enjoy his lifelong passion
for sailing by racing yachts with the Maui Boat and
Yacht Club.
Why is it called Ocean 7 when there
are only 5 oceans?
The name comes quite simply from
combining my favourite place, the ocean, and my favourite
number, Seven.
For me the name also has a romantic overtone. It
hints at something more, like the idea of a far distant
place waiting to be discovered.
Plus it just sounds good to me, so there you go!
Why should I buy an Ocean 7 bag?

Can I get other colours?
Yes. We are hoping to expand the
range of colors in the near future, so if you have
input on colours that you’d like to see, let
us know. Anyone ordering more than 50 bags, or any
custom-designed products will have their choice of
available colors. Currently, there are approximately
20 stock colors available from the cloth manufacturer.
Can I get my organization’s
logo put on the bags?
Absolutely. Ocean 7 is able to have
virtually any design silk screened onto any of our
bags. Embroidery is available for larger orders.
