Folly Beach’s Recycling Day Changes to Wednesdays, Beginning Oct. 25
Charleston County’s Solid Waste & Recycling Department is changing the curbside recycling pick-up day for Folly Beach residents.
In order to improve the county’s recycling routes, Folly Beach residents will begin recycling on Wednesdays, beginning Oct. 25, instead of on Mondays. The last Monday pick-up on Folly Beach will be on Monday, Oct. 16.
“The change in the pick-up day is necessary to make the routes more efficient and to coincide with the other barrier islands in the county,” said Hal Crawford, a Collections Manager with the Charleston County’s Solid Waste & Recycling Department.
Check the new curbside recycling schedule in the upcoming issue of the “For Lands Sake” newsletter, which will be sent out in November, to see the “Tan Wednesday” schedule.
